Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, providing insights on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and adherence to local tax regulations, liaising with external auditors as necessary.
- Streamline financial processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models that support strategic business initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance financial reporting and data management.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements, optimizing liquidity to support operational needs.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations for executive management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or similar roles, ideally within a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting regulations, and taxation laws.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
