Business Analyst (IT)

The Business Analyst (IT) plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between IT solutions and business objectives. This position is essential for understanding complex business needs and translating them into effective IT strategies that enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and streamlined efficiencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements for projects and initiatives, ensuring clarity of purpose and scope.
- Develop functional specifications and detailed use cases to guide development teams in delivering tailored IT solutions.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to elicit comprehensive insights and expectations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirement documents, process maps, and user stories.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization within existing IT systems and workflows.
- Monitor and assess project progress against defined KPIs, providing updates and recommendations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Support quality assurance efforts by developing test cases and scenarios, and participating in system testing and validation processes.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of solutions, providing feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT business analysis to maintain competitive advantage.
- Assist in training and onboarding processes for users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize new systems and processes effectively.

Objectives:
- Achieve a 20% improvement in the efficiency of critical business processes within the first year of role inception.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business analysis within an IT environment, showcasing progressive responsibility.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, with a strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Tableau, or similar, to drive insights and recommendations.
