Job Overview
One of the Medium Size Audit firm in Fiji Islands is looking for an Audit Senior ,Who will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse range of clients within the region. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, enhancing operational efficiencies, and developing significant relationships with stakeholders. The Audit Senior will lead audit engagements, oversee junior staff, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple audit engagements from planning through to execution and completion.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop detailed audit plans tailored to client needs.
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide training to junior audit staff to foster their professional development.
- Liaise directly with clients to assess their needs, identify areas for improvement, and assist in implementing best practices.
- Prepare and present detailed audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality control standards and regulatory requirements throughout audit processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrated audit approaches and provide value-added insights.
- Monitor the progress of audits, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets adhered to.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends affecting the audit landscape.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing audit capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Qualification in CA is a must.(CA Part qualified /Finalists will be considered.)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant audit experience in an accounting/Audit firm or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analytics tools is advantageous.
