The Accountant for Australian Clients plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing financial processes within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity while identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models that align with client objectives.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with local taxation laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and promote best practices.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash management reports to advise clients on liquidity management.
- Support client inquiries by providing superior customer service and timely financial advice.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial transactions and processes for audit preparedness and transparency.
- Assist in the development of training materials and workshops for junior staff on accounting practices and tools.
- Utilize accounting software and technology solutions to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting within a BPO or similar environment, with a focus on Australian clients.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
